Studio Padmini, based in Kochi, Kerala, is primarily engaged in film production, with a focus on fiction and documentary filmmaking.

Founded by Archana Padmini, Studio Padmini reflects her interests in filmmaking, film curation, and performance. Her work is rooted in alternative cinematic practices, gender discourse, and independent storytelling.

Archana has curated notable film programmes, including 9 Pencinemakal, a landmark package of Malayalam short films by women that travelled to international platforms. Her filmmaking experience includes working as an assistant director on projects with filmmakers such as Anjali Menon, M. Manikandan, Don Palathara, and Sanju Surendran.

As an actor, she has appeared in films including Nayattu, Bheeshma Parvam, Sulaikha Manzil, Wonder Women, and Ilaveezha Poonchira. Through her work across filmmaking, curation, performance, and research, she brings a thoughtful perspective to storytelling.
